There are 4 direct trains to Jaisalmer, one each from Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and Jodhpur.

They are:

09045 BDTS JSM Special (Fri) via Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Abu Road and Jodhpur.

12371 HWH JSM Express (Mon) via Gaya, Varanasi, Lucknow,  Delhi and Bikaner.

14659 DLI JSM Express (daily) via Gurgaon, Rewari, Alwar, Jaipur and Jodhpur.

14810 JU JSM Express (daily) via Pokran.

People travelling from elsewhere will have to get off at Jodhpur for a connecting train. There are direct trains to Jodhpur from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Howrah, Varanasi, Secunderabad, Indore, Puri, Guwahati, Jammu Tawi, Udhampur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Bhopal, Trivandrum, Haridwar, Chandigarh, Surat, Vadodara and Coimbatore.

    09045 is a cancelled train. So how do people from mumbai come by train

      You will have to change the train from Jodhpur. Direct train has just been started from Mumbai to Jaisalmer however it departs on Friday from Mumbai.
